"Shigefusa" Super rare old stock! Kitaeji Takohiki 300mm Buffalo Magnolia Handle
The founder of Shigefusa, Tokifusa Iizuka, apprenticed under swordsmith Iwasaki Shigeyoshi upon high school graduation. Subsequently, he learned knife-making techniques from Munenori Nagashima, the developer of Kitaeji knives. At 28, he established Shigefusa Knives. Shigefusa knives are renowned for their exceptional sharpness and functional aesthetics, combining low impurity Swedish carbon steel from Shigeyoshi with scientific forging techniques and Nagashima's secret knife-making skills. Currently, working diligently with his two sons, they produce a limited quantity of 30 to 40 knives per month due to their meticulous craftsmanship and unwillingness to compromise, leading to a suspension of new orders and a 3 to 5-year wait for previous orders. Feel free to experience the exquisite essence of this remarkable craftsmanship by holding one of these extraordinary knives in your hands.
